UNDP Romania is dedicated to supporting the Romanian people
and Government in their efforts to implement successful national policies on
poverty alleviation,
democratic governance, environmental issues, and other topics of critical
importance to the development of the country. Each of these targets has several
corresponding
projects, for which UNDP Romania is cooperating with various kinds of institutions
and organizations: the Bretton Woods institutions and a number of donors
whose help made it possible for UNDP to carry out the projects, in addition
to the
government, the NGOs and the academic community. The ultimate goal of UNDP
Romania is helping Romanian society to build on its own the necessary structures
for
sustainable human development.
UNDP Romania was a partner for the Computer
Clubs for Children program for two years.
